Reseach overview
After serving as a visiting professor at Harvard University and a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, he was a professor at the Graduate School of SDM from 2008 to 2025 and the second chair of the Graduate School of SDM from 2011 to 2019. He founded and served as Dean of the Faculty of Well-Being at Musashino University, the first of its kind in the world, and is a Professor Emeritus of Keio University. He conducts research and education on well-being and innovation. He is the author of numerous books, including "Well-Being" and "The Mechanism of Happiness".
