Sugiura, Yuta

Yuta Sugiura is a Professor in the Department of Information and Computer Science at Keio University. Prior to joining the department, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology from 2015 to 2016. He received his Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Media Design at Keio University in 2013. His research interests include human-computer interaction, user interfaces, and ubiquitous computing. He has received several awards, including the UIST Best Paper Award. He has also served as a program committee member for various international conferences, including ACM UIST, TEI, and SIGGRAPH ASIA E-tech.

I received a Ph.D from the Graduated School of Media Design at Keio in 2013. Before joining Department of Information and Computer Science as assistant professor, I worked at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). My research theme is Lifestyle Innovation through creating novel services from collected and modeled Human-Data by ubiquitously blending Real World Interface and Digital Human technologies into our everyday environment.
