As the third installment of this fiscal year's "Overseas Field Research and Training," a team of three working group members from this project conducted a visit to universities and other institutions in Brazil and Chile from Sunday, October 19, to Monday, October 27, 2014.
In Brazil, interviews were conducted at the University of São Paulo's academic research, international, and intellectual property departments, as well as at FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation), focusing on research support systems. It was confirmed that cooperation will be further strengthened in the future.
In Chile, the team visited the Latin American Collaborative Research Center (LACRC), an overseas research base of Tokyo Medical and Dental University located in Santiago, and received operational advice from local staff.
