"Sustainable Garden City through TOD" will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

In "Liberal Arts of Information," we focus on "the light and shadow of information," and have leading lecturers from various fields give talks about the future of information technology, along with the merits and demerits of its use.

On May 14, 2025, a lecture titled "Sustainable Garden City through TOD" will be held by Mr. Masafumi Ota (Fellow, Tokyu Research Institute, Inc.). We encourage you to attend.

Today, with growing awareness of sustainability, such as in a decarbonized society, there is great significance in promoting community development rooted in public transportation (TOD: Transit-Oriented Development), which is excellent in energy efficiency and promotes interaction among people. In this lecture, we will look back on the history and achievements of Tokyu as a pioneer in "garden city"-style community development along its railway lines through TOD. We will also discuss future challenges and prospects based on the current situation.
