In "Information Literacy," we focus on the "light and shadow of information," and invite top-tier lecturers from various fields to speak about the merits and demerits of information use, as well as the future of information technology.
On April 16, 2025, we will hold a lecture by Kensaku Fukui (Attorney at Law) titled "Is My Voice Mine? Is My Face Mine? - An Introduction to the Law of Digital Replicas." We look forward to your participation.
Voice actors and singers are raising their voices in protest against AI voice imitation. Meanwhile, in Hollywood, deceased actors are being brought back to life in 3D to appear in films. Portrait rights are a new right recognized in the 20th century, and the scope of "voice rights" has yet to be established. To what extent does "I" belong to me? We will learn about this alongside knowledge of portrait rights and copyrights.
