On Friday, March 14, 2025, we will hold the 4th "Reading with the Author: Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts Selected Books" event, featuring "How to Walk the Republic of Letters: A Collection of Keywords for Strolling through Bookshelves," a project commemorating the publication of the selected book.

Reading is an adventure!
Stumbling, getting lost, collecting, or even standing on our heads—we dive into the world of words while moving our hearts and bodies. To accompany such a journey, we published "How to Walk the Republic of Letters" last spring. Using this book, a trio of bookworms will gather to mutually present their own ways of reading and playing with the "Republic of Letters" to see what kind of "Land of Books" can be explored.
Beyond reading books, a vast horizon opens up—reading forests, reading cities, reading design. Let's experience that view together.
What is "Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts Selected Books"?: This is a unique and attractive series in which members of the Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts introduce original treatises in an easy-to-understand style. It is published on a wide variety of themes, reflecting the diverse interests of members belonging to various faculties, such as literature of various countries, language, philosophy, artistic expression, and sociology.

What is "Reading with the Author: Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts Selected Books"?: This project aims to introduce the content of the "Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts Selected Books" through the authors themselves and to delve deeper into the themes with guests, in order to make the series more widely known.
This session focuses on "How to Walk the Republic of Letters: A Collection of Keywords for Strolling through Bookshelves" (Keio University Press), published this year. Author Yusuke Wakasawa will take the stage to introduce his book, hold a discussion with guests, and conduct a Q&A session with participants.
