In "Liberal Arts of Information," we focus on the "light and shadow of information," and have leading lecturers from various fields speak about the merits and demerits of using information, as well as the future of information technology.
On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, we will hold a lecture titled "Higher Education in the AI Era" by President Kohei Itoh. Please feel free to attend.
There has never been an era where effort toward independence and self-respect is as necessary as it is in today's world. Even if you intend to value your own dignity and act on your own thoughts, as long as you obtain information and exchange opinions through the internet, everything is analyzed by AI. Things proceed so that only information comfortable for each individual is provided, and you only connect with like-minded peers. Even if you think you are making decisions of your own will, you are being mind-controlled without realizing it. To maintain a human-centered world, we must not be manipulated by AI, but rather pursue learning that is unique to humans. Let's think about this together.
