On Monday, May 13, 2024, we will hold the [Minasan Mirai Project] Public Symposium ① From Minamisanriku! Unlocking Biodiversity from the Keio University school forest.

The "Minasan Mirai Project," supported by the Keio University Future Design Fund, began in the 2023 academic year. Its purpose is to step outside the campus and create a cycle of learning that considers life and society within nature.
This symposium focuses on Keio University's largest school forest, which serves as the stage for this project.
What kind of forest is this one located in Minamisanriku Town? What potential do the forests of Minamisanriku hold in the first place?
We will hear about the results of forest analysis conducted by the Keio team using drone photography, as well as initiatives to utilize the forest in Minamisanriku Town, which aims to be a "Town Where Life Circulates" through the connection between the sea and the forest. Please join the discussion about a future that utilizes the forest from your own perspective and interests.
