AIC Seminar "Introduction to Fintech" will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Will "money" transform and a true "Internet of Money" emerge? Bitcoin started with an innovative story of "ending the monopoly of centralized finance caused by high costs, inefficiency, lack of interoperability, and opaque systems," leading to the emergence of the underlying blockchain technology. This technology gave birth to the massive wave of Web3.0/DeFi. Furthermore, with the US SEC's approval of Bitcoin ETFs on January 10, 2024, further progress is expected in the future.

In this class, we will start with basic financial theories and the background of Fintech to understand Web3.0/DeFi, and learn about the latest business models and financial technologies in the Web3.0 financial domain.
