The shadows of the attention economy are looming over the public discourse space. In January 2022, we released the joint proposal "Toward a Healthy Discourse Platform—Digital Diet Declaration ver. 1.0" and introduced the concept of "Informational Health" as a countermeasure to the attention economy.

Furthermore, in May 2023, we released the joint proposal "Toward a Healthy Discourse Platform ver. 2.0—Implementing Informational Health," making the concept of "Informational Health" more inclusive and outlining specific initiatives for its implementation.

Two years after the launch of the "Informational Health" project, research and corporate initiatives related to "Informational Health" are increasing at an accelerating pace. In this symposium, we aim to share the challenges of modern public discourse and the current state of "Informational Health" through research presentations, lectures, and panel discussions. Additionally, by inviting researchers from various fields and stakeholders in the public discourse space for interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral discussions, we hope to promote the implementation of "Informational Health" and create an opportunity to build a healthy public discourse space by pooling comprehensive knowledge.
