This public lecture will explore the latest trends in sports medicine and the evolution of athlete support.
The Sports Medicine Research Center will hold a public lecture, "Evolving Athlete Support with Sports Medicine—The Secret to Japan's Fencing Breakthrough," on Sunday, December 8.
In Part 1, faculty members from the Center will give lectures on the latest in sports medicine. They will introduce cutting-edge initiatives that contribute to improving athlete performance, including challenges in gender issues in sports that emerged from the Paris Olympics, held under the principle of gender equality, and efforts toward the 2025 World Athletics Championships.
Part 2 will analyze the factors behind the recent success of the Japanese fencing team and introduce how the adoption of scientific approaches and new training methods is producing results.
