Keio University (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kohei Ito) and Mori Building Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Shingo Tsuji) have launched the "Database Construction to Contribute to the Mental and Physical Health and Well-being of Working People" (hereinafter referred to as "this research") as part of the Keio University School of Medicine Hills Joint Research Laboratory for Future Preventive Medicine and Wellness (Project Professor: Taishiro Kishimoto), which was established in April 2021.
The health issues of working people in Japan are becoming more complex and diverse due to changes in the composition of the working population accompanying population decline and a declining birthrate and aging population, as well as changes in industrial structure, individual values, and lifestyles brought about by digitalization. In this context, this research, under the close collaboration of Keio University and Mori Building, will target office workers in central Tokyo, including those in Azabudai Hills, to collect long-term data on their psychological and physical health, as well as information on their lifestyles and work styles. This information will be compiled into a database, which will be used to make social recommendations regarding health promotion and also to create new healthcare services.
