This project was launched in 2022 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of the first edition of Yukichi Fukuzawa's "Gakumon no susume (An Encouragement of Learning)". The fifth special collaboration video, featuring leading figures from various fields and Keio University President Kohei Itoh, is titled " Tackling Social Issues and 'Gakumon no susume (An Encouragement of Learning)' " .

In "Gakumon no susume (An Encouragement of Learning)," Yukichi Fukuzawa stated (in paraphrase) that "it is not enough to fulfill one's duty as a human being simply by creating a good family and getting a good job; one must also contribute to improving society." What are the thoughts of Ms. Sueyoshi and Mr. Ozora on this? We will hear from these two individuals, who are directly confronting social issues such as ethical consumption and loneliness, for insights on how to navigate the future.

Starting Monday, October 7, the video will be available on the special website ( Gakumon no Susume Special Website: [Keio University] ) and the Keio University YouTube channel ( Keio University - YouTube ).

Please be sure to watch it!
