Keio University Collaborates with Carnegie Mellon University and Industry to Establish a Research Center to Lead Next-Generation AI

Keio University (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Kohei Ito) and nine corporate research members have established the Keio AI Center to lead next-generation AI, holding an opening ceremony on September 24, 2024.

On April 9, 2024, a signing ceremony was held for joint U.S.-Japan research on cutting-edge AI, where Keio University announced a partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, a world leader in AI and robotics research. Based on this partnership, the Keio AI Center aims to accelerate research in generative AI for scientific research and the evolution of AI technology by incorporating industry leaders in addition to academic collaboration between the universities.
