Keio University Hospital has established the Memory Center, which specializes in dementia treatment and research with an interdisciplinary team-based medical care system. It is reported that there are approximately 36,000 patients with young-onset dementia in Japan, making it not a rare disease. The average age of onset is 54.4 years, meaning it strikes people in their prime working years. Therefore, it significantly impacts not only the patients themselves but also the lives of their families. However, there are currently no disease-modifying drugs for dementias other than Alzheimer's disease. To advance research on young-onset dementia and achieve research results that will lead to diagnosis and treatment for as many patients as possible, we have launched a project on the crowdfunding service READYFOR titled "Advancing Research to Overcome Young-Onset Dementia and Lead to Treatment and Early Diagnosis."

We are seeking donations from Friday, September 20, to Monday, November 18, 2024, with a goal of 10 million yen.
