From ancient times to the present day, we have continuously visited places with landscapes to enjoy scenery that is constantly changing with the seasons. At the same time, since the Middle Ages, we have also engaged in the practice of reconstructing and recreating various aspects of static landscapes using reproductive technologies such as books, prints, and photographs.

Beginning with the prehistory of landscapes found in Western medieval manuscript illuminations, this exhibition invites you on a journey to explore "landscapes to take home" through seven themes. These themes include foreign landscapes from modern travelogues, ideal landscapes and the Grand Tour, picturesque journeys, and landscapes sent by postcard. The exhibition features manuscripts, rare books, prints, photographs, postcards, and travel items.
