On May 30, Tosu City, Saga Prefecture (Mayor: Yoshito Mukoudo; hereinafter Tosu City), and the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (located in Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage; hereinafter KMD) signed a mutual cooperation agreement aimed at achieving a decarbonized society through collaboration with the area's unique corporate cluster, which serves as a logistics hub, and its local professional sports teams.
Building on the cooperation agreement signed with Saga Prefecture in 2023, this agreement aims to transform the area into a sustainable and advanced region by leveraging the resources and expertise of both Tosu City and KMD. Under this agreement, the parties will also work on initiatives such as promoting the understanding and adoption of cutting-edge ZEH (Net Zero Energy House) and ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building) technologies, which achieve significant energy savings, and demonstrating new corporate products and services that contribute to a decarbonized society. Further collaboration with partners both inside and outside the region through this agreement is expected to generate new innovations.
