Keio University
The Fukuzawa Memorial Center for Modern Japanese Studies at Keio University launched the "Keio University and the War" Archive Project in 2013, ahead of the 70th anniversary of the end of the war. The center has since continued its activities of collecting various materials and testimonies related to Keio University during the war, analyzing data, and making them public. While our museum permanently exhibits a portion of these collected materials, we will once again reflect on "Keio University and the War" as we approach the 80th anniversary of the end of the war.
This time, the materials will be exhibited in two parts, based on 50 keywords. By delving into each item one by one—including three-dimensional objects whose connection to the war is not immediately apparent and textual materials being introduced for the first time—we will consider the possibility of passing on the memory of the "war" through objects.
