Tenchijin, Inc. (CEO: Yasuhito Sakuraba; hereinafter "Tenchijin"), sorano me, Inc. (President and CEO: Ayano Kido; hereinafter "sorano me"), the Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management (Dean: Seiko Shirasaka; hereinafter "Keio SDM"), and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (President: Hiroshi Yamakawa; hereinafter "JAXA") initiated a co-creation activity in December 2023 for the "Satellite Application Business Certification" under the framework of the JAXA Aerospace Innovation Partnership (hereinafter "J-SPARC"), which aims to create new space-related businesses based on novel ideas.

This co-creation aims to commercialize the Satellite Application Business Certification by combining the educational materials and certification system being developed by Tenchijin and sorano me to expand the talent pool for satellite data utilization, with the expertise of Keio SDM in designing educational and research programs (gained through initiatives like its human resource development program for space professionals solving societal issues) and the know-how JAXA has cultivated through J-SPARC co-creation activities in converting satellite data into value for businesses. As a first step, we plan to conduct a trial of the beta version of the certification as a prototype. We will gather feedback from many people and accelerate the realization of the Satellite Application Business Certification.
