Watami Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Watami") and Keio University will launch a meal support program in April 2024 to deliver a set number of meal kits and meals as part of a support program for female students who are beginning to live alone away from their hometowns. Support will also soon be extended to students who require assistance due to financial hardship in their families. While Keio University has previously focused on supporting its students, including through meal support in cooperation with the Keio University Co-op, this marks the first time the university has partnered with a company for such an initiative.

As part of this meal support program, Keio University will recruit and select students in need of support. Watami will then deliver healthy meals supervised by registered dietitians to the homes of these students, utilizing its "Watami no Takushoku" meal delivery service. Keio University will cover the costs, allowing the selected students to receive this support free of charge.

By providing balanced meals while reducing the financial burden, we will support students in leading fulfilling academic lives from a nutritional standpoint.
