A joint research group of Professor Shuji Fujii from the Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering, Osaka Institute of Technology (President: Susumu Inoue); Yuya Atsuta, a first-year master's student in the Department of Chemistry, Environmental and Life Engineering; and Professor Yuya Oaki from the Department of Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University (President: Kohei Ito) has developed a new, environmentally friendly synthesis method for conductive polymer nanoparticles with clean surfaces without using dispersion stabilizers (emulsifiers).

Highlights of this research

  • Developed a synthesis method for conductive polymer nanoparticles without using dispersion stabilizers (emulsifiers).

  • Uses an environmentally friendly aqueous medium.

  • Expected applications include conductive paints, black pigments, and medical latex products.
