The Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD), Ory Laboratory Inc., and Nagoya Institute of Technology will conduct a proof-of-concept experiment from Tuesday, May 9 to Friday, June 16, 2023, at the Avatar Robot Cafe DAWN ver.β, operated by Ory Laboratory Inc. This experiment aims to realize future work styles using cybernetic avatars, where avatar robot operators (hereafter, pilots) will provide new cafe services utilizing cybernetic avatar technology.

During the five-week experiment, three experimental avatar cafe services will be offered to explore the potential for new work styles created by cybernetic avatars: "extended avatar customer service," which moves between the real and virtual worlds; "avatar-of-an-avatar hospitality," which involves freely controlling multiple avatars; and "remote co-creation topping," where two people work together.
