The Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management (Keio SDM) will exhibit at Salone del Mobile.Milano (Milan Design Week 2023), the world's largest design festival, held in Milan, Italy, from Monday, April 17 to Sunday, April 23, 2023. This will be the seventh time Keio SDM has participated, following its exhibitions at SaloneSatellite in 2015, a solo university exhibition in the Tortona district in 2016, an exhibition at Superstudio, a central feature of Salone del Mobile.Milano, in 2017, a joint exhibition with a company of a Keio SDM graduate in 2018, and an exhibition in 2021 when the event was held for the first time in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When we view life as a system, today's output becomes tomorrow's input, and the whole is formed by the creation of new outputs. We believe that by arranging and creating each of these detailed In/Out flows ourselves, we can build a better future for ourselves and the world.
Under the theme "Arranges the flow -The attitude for the future-," Keio SDM teams of current students and alumni will exhibit three solutions: 1) "Akatsuki," which sublimates the vague anxieties of daily life and creates an opportunity to accept oneself; 2) "BITE MAPPING," which fosters healthy eating habits through an experience that makes chewing enjoyable; and 3) "Scentignal," a product that enables gentle communication through scent. In addition, our corporate partner, Hoppy Beverage Co., Ltd., will also have an exhibition at the same venue.
Through its exhibition at Salone del Mobile.Milano, Keio SDM aims to raise awareness of the potential for education in system design, based on systems engineering, to solve societal issues.
