As part of the "Minamiaso Village Grassland Restoration and Akaushi Revitalization Project," launched on January 16 of this year in Minamiaso, Kumamoto Prefecture, the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage), the Kumamoto Prefecture Livestock Agricultural Cooperative Association (Representative Director and Chairman: Hiroyuki Aramaki; hereinafter, the Kumamoto Prefectural Federation of Livestock Cooperatives), and Glocal Crowdfunding, Inc. (CEO: Emi Miyako; hereinafter, GCF), in cooperation with producers in Kumamoto Prefecture, have started producing environmentally friendly Akaushi beef fed with "Luminapp," a feed expected to suppress methane gas emissions from cattle. At the same time, to create new sales channels, investment-based crowdfunding will also be launched to provide direct support for producers taking on ethical initiatives and to aim for social impact. This will enable companies and consumers to support the production area from the production stage and purchase Akaushi beef.
