NTT DOCOMO, INC. (hereinafter, DOCOMO), the Embodied Media Project at the Graduate School of Media Design (KMD), Keio University (Project Leader: Professor Kota Minamizawa; hereinafter, Keio), and the Haptics Lab in the Graduate School of Engineering at the Nagoya Institute of Technology (Lab Leader: Professor Yoshihiro Tanaka; hereinafter, NITech) have developed "FEEL TECH™" (hereinafter, the Technology). This technology shares the sensation of touch when touching an object, tailored to the recipient's perception, on the "Human Augmentation Platform®," a platform developed by DOCOMO in January 2022 that enables the augmentation of human senses over a network. The development of this foundational technology, which shares haptic sensations based on the recipient's haptic sensitivity characteristics, is a world first.
