From Sunday, October 30 to Sunday, November 13, 2022, the international tennis tournament "Yokohama Keio Challenger International Tennis Tournament 2022" (hereafter, Yokohama Keio Challenger) will be held at the Mamushidani Tennis Courts on the Hiyoshi Campus of Keio University. Since the 2019 tournament, the event has been held under a new name to deepen ties with the local community, with the support of the City of Yokohama.
The men's tournament is a Challenger Tour event sanctioned by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), and this year marks its 12th edition. Professional players from around the world will gather, aiming to climb the world rankings. This tournament is the next largest in scale after the "Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships" and has produced numerous famous players. It is also the only ATP Tour tournament in the world run primarily by students.
In the following week, a women's tournament, an ITF Women's Circuit event sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), will also be held. This tournament will also bring together professional players from around the world, particularly promising young athletes, who are aiming to climb the world rankings.
Additionally, during the tournament period, numerous events will be held, such as the "Tennis Improvement Method for Adults" and a "Tennis School" for kids and juniors.
We kindly request that you list this tournament in your event calendars and provide media coverage.
