The "Fumihiko Maki Room" has been opened in the Mu (Μ) Building on the Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) (Endo, Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture) to exhibit and introduce materials donated by Fumihiko Maki. He is an international architect who designed buildings beloved by people around the world and a rare thinker who objectively observed Japan's unique traditional urban culture alongside international trends of modernization.

SFC has received a portion of valuable materials that tell the story of how Fumihiko Maki developed his works and ideas, the path he took to reach his unparalleled status, and the international cultural exchanges that were his source of inspiration. SFC has named the initiative to make these materials available for effective use by students from around the world who will study architecture and urban design, as well as by people who aspire to conduct research for further development, the "Fumihiko Maki Archive," and launched its base, the "Fumihiko Maki Room," in March 2022.
