In an international collaborative study with Johns Hopkins University in the US, the University of Cambridge in the UK, and the Erasmus Medical Center in the Netherlands, a research group led by Professor Yoshimasa Saito of the Keio University Faculty of Pharmacy compared the success rates and factors involved in the successful establishment of biliary tract cancer organoids across multiple institutions. The study presented the current challenges, solutions, and future prospects for improving the establishment of biliary tract cancer organoids. These research findings were published in the online edition of the international academic journal "Cancer Cell" on February 10, 2022 (US Eastern Time).
