Keio University Hospital (Hospital Director: Morio Matsumoto), Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & Director: Kingo Hayashi; hereinafter "Chubu Electric Power"), and Medical Data Card, Inc. (President & CEO: Yasuyuki Suzuki; hereinafter "Medical Data Card") began operating a system to support remote medical care using a cloud-based blood glucose management system (hereinafter "the System") at the Keio University Hospital outpatient clinic for diabetes and obesity on November 20, 2020 (Reference 1: Press release dated December 22, 2020 ).

Chubu Electric Power, which operates the System's data platform, and medical device manufacturers LifeScan Japan K.K. (President: Akira Sasaki), ARKRAY Marketing, Inc. (President: Yoshihiro Fukunaga), and Sanwa Kagaku Kenkyusho Co., Ltd. (President: Shusaku Isono) have now reached an agreement on the linkage of patient data through cloud-to-cloud collaboration based on patient consent, and today began operation of the expanded cloud-based blood glucose management system.

This will enable physicians to utilize blood glucose data across the clouds of each medical device manufacturer via Medical Data Card's MeDaCa system, which is used for remote medical care at Keio University Hospital.
