The Ika-ga Laboratory at the Department of System Design Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Keio University, along with Sekisui House, Ltd., and The Japan Gas Association, conducted a comparative analysis of survey data. The study compared residents of homes that do not meet the thermal insulation performance of current energy conservation standards with residents of homes that do meet these standards, distinguishing between those who primarily use air conditioners and those who primarily use hot water floor heating. The results indicate that having a certain level of thermal insulation and warm rooms is good for health, and that having warm feet is also beneficial to health.
