The "Mita Media Center (Keio University Library) Exhibition of Rare Books" displays a number of rare books from the Mita Media Center (Keio University Library) collection, each time focusing on a different theme, and is open to the public. The exhibition has been well attended by many visitors each year, and this year marks its 33rd installment.
This year's 33rd exhibition will feature 80 items related to the culture of antiquarianism and collection that flourished in Japan during the Edo period, centering on the "Kōka Ichin," a collection formerly owned by the early modern Kokugaku scholar Hashimoto Tsunesuke and now held by the Mita Media Center (Keio University Library).
The cataloging of the "Kōka Ichin" collection was just completed at the end of fiscal year 2020, and this exhibition will be its first public viewing.
