Keio University Graduate School of Medicine
In fiscal year 2020, the Keio University Graduate School of Medicine launched the Entrepreneurship Course in the Major in Medical Sciences (Master's Program) to foster human resources who will lead the creation of medical industries in response to the social issues and medical needs of an aging society. The program promotes innovation from the university and university-launched startups (venture companies), not only in drug discovery using molecular compounds, but also in new modalities such as regenerative medicine, antibody drugs, and gene therapy; medical devices for diagnosis and treatment; and the digital healthcare field using medical data, AI, and more.
In collaboration with the Graduate School of Business Administration and the Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC), this course offers a comprehensive educational program covering foundational life sciences such as physiology, clinical knowledge, regulatory science, bioethics, big data analysis, IT skills, as well as organizational management and business strategy. In addition, the program fosters next-generation entrepreneurs through a variety of support systems, including off-campus activities like overseas training and internships, as well as a mentorship program.
