On May 20, 2021, Hojokin Portal Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shoji Fukui; hereinafter "Hojokin Portal"), in collaboration with the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage), launched the "Furusato Funding" project. This project supports problem-solving by connecting the SDGs actions of municipalities and companies through new schemes such as side jobs and the corporate version of the Furusato Nozei (hometown tax) system. Furusato Funding | A Social Platform Service Supporting Regional Revitalization for Municipalities and Companies
This project is a collaboration between Hojokin Portal, which has supported the utilization and planning of government budgets, and KMD's Regional Future Project, which has long been implementing regional revitalization projects on the ground through industry-government-academia collaboration. They will build a new support mechanism that utilizes the private sector by integrating online and real-world activities. Aiming for full-scale operation within this fiscal year, the project will start by holding events for municipalities to begin collecting information on regional issues. The team plans to research the needs for materializing and resolving these issues and establish a system to provide support, starting from the creation of schemes for sustainable regional development.
