TuneCore Japan K.K. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Iichiro Noda; hereinafter "TuneCore Japan") and the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage; hereinafter "KMD") have begun joint research on designing an eco-cycle for the creative activities of independent creators/artists.

TuneCore Japan, which handles content development and distribution for independent artists and has expertise in the creative environment that forms the foundation of production, and the Hiroyuki Kishi Laboratory at KMD, which conducts research on the social functions of creativity and its socialization and content creation, will develop and operate services and schemes from the perspective of how independent creators/artists can deliver their own creative works in the future digital environment. These services and schemes will enable a smooth cycle of creative activities for actual creators/artists. Furthermore, the developed services and schemes will be provided to creators/artists to be used as part of their actual creative activities. The feedback from this usage will then be used to develop even better services and schemes.
