The National Institute of Japanese Literature (hereafter, "NIJL") and the Keio University Institute of Oriental Classics (Shido Bunko) (hereafter, "Shido Bunko") have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the construction of a database for the Project to Build an International Collaborative Research Network for Pre-modern Japanese Texts. A signing ceremony was held at Keio University on November 24 of this year, where Director-General Robert Campbell and Director Takahiro Sasaki signed the memorandum.

NIJL will proceed with the digitization of valuable materials held by the Shido Bunko and will sequentially release them through the

Database of Pre-modern Japanese Works
