In January of this year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government established the "Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium" (hereafter, "the Consortium") to further strengthen its "earning power" and enhance its international presence.
The Consortium aims to establish Tokyo's position as a global hub city for the startup ecosystem, thereby strengthening international competitiveness, creating and growing startups, and ultimately realizing the sustainable development of Tokyo's economy. It also aims to implement innovations from the startup ecosystem into society and give back to the community.
We are pleased to announce that as part of the Consortium's initiatives, Keio University, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (National University Corporation), RIKEN (National Research and Development Institute), Tokyo Institute of Technology (National University Corporation), and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government have concluded an "Agreement on Collaboration for the Formation of a Co-creation Platform through Industry-Academia-Government-Citizen Collaboration."
