In April 2020, the Keio University Global Research Institute (KGRI) established the "KGRI / IoT Healthy Life Research Consortium." The consortium aims to conduct research on the various issues and risks in Japan's world-leading aging society, develop fundamental technologies for systems that support health promotion and longevity, and widely disseminate the results to society. It focuses on generating research outcomes, such as algorithms, by monitoring biological functions through the acquisition and analysis of vital data using IoT, integrating the expertise and technologies of researchers from a wide range of academic fields at Keio University. The consortium also promotes research in this field at Keio University, with the intention that the research results will be commercialized in the future as healthcare services by each corporate member, such as for health promotion and the detection of and countermeasures for disease premonitions. Furthermore, based on the research results and new information obtained by Keio University through this consortium, we will advance further research and development, aiming to establish the results as a global standard in the form of a "Health and Functional Age Index."
Companies that agree with this purpose are welcome to participate as corporate members.
