Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University
A team including Associate Professor Shoko Miyagawa of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care, Keio University; Associate Professor Daisuke Doyo of the Faculty of Business Administration, Kanagawa University; and Professor Hiroya Tanaka of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University, released a procedural manual and an instruction manual on a special website on April 24. These materials are intended to support the safe delivery of items produced by individuals, companies, and small-scale production workshops with 3D printers or laser cutters, such as "Fab Labs," to home-visit nursing care and other sites.
To prevent the spread of infection through these well-intentioned items, the manuals include information on disinfection methods and materials that can withstand them, as well as an instruction manual that allows recipients to understand usage and maintenance methods at a glance. These resources are available for use by anyone undertaking such initiatives.
