Teijin Limited (HQ: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Jun Suzuki) and the Keio University Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) (Location: Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Masahiko Inakage), in collaboration with Nanzan University (Showa-ku, Nagoya; President: Yoshihumi Torisu) and Enhance Experience Inc. (HQ: California; CEO: Tetsuya Mizuguchi), have jointly developed a fabric-like two-dimensional communication system and a haptics suit that uses this technology to deliver an innovative tactile experience.

This development builds upon the research results of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Strategic Basic Research Programs (ACCEL) project "Embodied Media Technology based on Haptic Primary Colors and its Application Development (JPMJAC1404)" (Research Director: Susumu Tachi, Professor Emeritus at the University of Tokyo).
