The Keio University Graduate School of System Design and Management (hereinafter Keio SDM) (Kohoku-ku, Yokohama; Dean: Hidekazu Nishimura) and Taisho Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Toshima-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeru Uehara), in collaboration with the Keio Rugby Football Club, the Keio University Sports Medicine Research Center, and the Keio University Institute of Physical Education, have commenced joint research on a recovery program for athletes. Keio SDM and the Keio Rugby Football Club collect and accumulate a wide variety of data from a system design perspective—including body composition, training intensity, game videos, and GPS data—to prevent player injuries and enable high performance. Based on this scientific analysis, they provide practical nutritional and training guidance. Meanwhile, Taisho Pharmaceutical has developed fatigue-related products, including Lipovitan D, for many years and has accumulated knowledge on fatigue. This joint research aims to build a recovery program for athletes by integrating and developing the strengths of both parties to identify fatigue states and find ways to address them.
