Keio University
Keio University is pleased to announce the 44th Shinzo Koizumi Prize All Japan High School Essay Contest. This contest was established in 1976 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the passing of Dr. Shinzo Koizumi, who served as the President of Keio University for over 13 years, starting in 1933. Its purpose is to pass on the character and achievements of Dr. Koizumi—an outstanding researcher, educator, and accomplished writer—to future generations and to contribute to the improvement of young people's writing and expressive skills.
In an age where the decline in young people's writing skills is often noted, this contest calls for well-reasoned essays of considerable length—6,000 to 8,000 characters. Each year, it attracts numerous high-quality submissions from across the country.
Therefore, we kindly request your assistance in promoting this contest to a wider audience of high school students, parents, and high school teachers to encourage a large number of applications again this year.
