Kawasaki City, Keio University, and Yokohama City have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the British Paralympic Association (hereinafter BPA) regarding the pre-games training camp for the ParalympicsGB team for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. A signing ceremony was held on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Keio University's Hiyoshi Campus.

The four parties have agreed to work together toward the conclusion of a formal agreement for the implementation of the pre-games training camp for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. In the future, they aim to promote exchanges not only for the pre-games training camp but also in fields such as sports science, medical sciences, education, and culture, as well as exchanges with the local community.

It was also formally decided in March 2017 that Kawasaki City, Keio University, and Yokohama City will host the pre-games training camp for the British Olympic team. For the Tokyo 2020 Games, the three parties will work together to host the pre-games training camps for both the Olympic and Paralympic teams from the same country.
