Odakyu Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Hoshino) and Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Hiratsuka-shi, Kanagawa; President: Yasunori Hori) of the Odakyu Group, together with Keio University (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Akira Haseyama), will hold a forum on next-generation mobility on Sunday, June 10, 2018. The forum is titled "What is the New Mobility that Automated Driving Technology will Change? —Autonomous Buses Running on Campus."

This forum will be held based on the collaborative agreement concerning research on cutting-edge technologies and regional revitalization, which was concluded by the three parties in December 2017. In addition to lectures by experts, including Governor Kuroiwa of Kanagawa Prefecture (tentative), the event will feature test rides of autonomous vehicles and an introduction to next-generation mobility at the venue. Through these activities, the aim is to promote a broad understanding of automated driving technology and next-generation mobility among users.

As new forms of transportation are being sought, the Odakyu Group and Keio University will further advance their collaborative efforts. By jointly conducting research on cutting-edge mobility, such as automated driving technology, they aim to solve social issues and contribute to the sustainable development of society and the region.
