On Saturday, March 24, the Keio University Athletic Association will hold the 11th Sakura Sports Festa at the Shimoda Student Village (Hiyoshi-honcho, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama) under the theme of "interaction between the local community and students."
The Sakura Sports Festa is an event voluntarily planned and run primarily by members of the five Athletic Association clubs active in the Shimoda area (the Baseball Club, the Rugby Football Club, the Soccer Club, the Hockey Club, and the Soft Tennis Club) to express their daily gratitude. The event aims to build a cooperative and lasting relationship by deepening the exchange between the Keio University Athletic Association and local residents, making the association more familiar to the community through the unique perspective of sports.
On the day of the event, we have planned activities such as the "Shimolympics: Smiles Are Our Guiding Light," where everyone from children to the elderly can experience the joy of sports, as well as hands-on classes offered by each club and stage events by local residents. Additionally, the rugby field will be opened as a free space, allowing visitors to enjoy themselves as they please on the spacious artificial turf ground.
We would appreciate your assistance in announcing and covering this event.
