From Saturday, February 24 to Sunday, March 11, 2018, the Keio Challenger International Tennis Tournament 2018 (hereafter, the Keio Challenger) will be held again this year at the Mamushidani Tennis Courts on the Hiyoshi Campus of Keio University.
The men's tournament is a Challenger Tour event sanctioned by the Association of Tennis Professionals (hereafter, ATP), where professional players from around the world will gather to compete, aiming to improve their world rankings. While there are three ATP Challenger Tour events held in Japan, this is the only one hosted by a university and primarily run by students.
Following last year's success, this year we will also be holding a women's tournament concurrently, an ITF Women's Circuit event sanctioned by the International Tennis Federation (hereafter, ITF). This tournament will also see players from around the world, mainly promising young athletes, gather to compete with the aim of improving their world rankings.
Additionally, during the tournament period, numerous events will be held, including a "Tennis Improvement Method for Adults" session, a kids' and junior tennis school, a wheelchair tennis exchange, and an autograph session with participating players.
We kindly request that you include this tournament in your event listings and consider it for media coverage.
