On Saturday, March 25, the Keio University Athletic Association will hold the 10th Sakura Sports Festa at the Shimoda Student Village (Hiyoshi-honcho, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama) under the theme of "interaction between the local community and students."
The Sakura Sports Festa is an event planned and run independently by members of five Athletic Association clubs active in the Shimoda area (baseball, rugby football, soccer, field hockey, and soft tennis) to express their daily gratitude. The event aims to build a cooperative and lasting relationship by deepening the exchange between the Keio University Athletic Association and local residents through the unique medium of sports, making the Athletic Association a more familiar presence in the community.
On the day of the event, there will be a "Shimolympics: Smiles are Our Guiding Light," where everyone from children to the elderly can experience the joy of sports, as well as hands-on classes from each club and stage events by local residents. In addition, the rugby field will be open as a free space, allowing visitors to enjoy the spacious artificial turf ground as they please.
We kindly request your cooperation in publicizing and covering the event.
