Keio University
In November 2016, Keio University called on more than ten universities in Japan and abroad to establish the InterNational Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (INCS-CoE), the world's first international collaborative organization to address cyber threats.
On Thursday, March 2, and Friday, March 3, 2017, Keio University will hold the International Cybersecurity Symposium: "Toward an Ecosystem for International Cybersecurity 'Human Resources as Assets' - From 'Human Resources' to 'Human Resources as Assets' -" at its Mita Campus.
This symposium aims to focus on securing talented human resources in cybersecurity, discuss education and training, and facilitate a lively and forward-looking exchange of opinions on technology and policy. The morning plenary sessions on both days will feature discussions on topics such as collaborative frameworks by top leaders from government, industry, and academia in various countries; key elements for Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) teams to protect corporate assets; and the roles played by individuals with experience in national security from overseas. In the afternoon, parallel sessions will include workshops and other activities.
Additionally, as part of the INCS-CoE's activities, Keio University and Imperial College London have decided to conclude an academic exchange agreement prior to conducting international joint research, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of security technology in the cybersecurity field. A signing ceremony for the academic exchange agreement will also be held during the opening of the symposium on the first day.
