From February 4 to March 27, 2025, Takaaki Hasegawa (a fourth-year student in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy at the time of achievement, now a first-year master's student in the Major in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Division of Pharmacotherapeutics ) launched a crowdfunding campaign titled "Creating a World of 'True Healthy Longevity' with Anti-Aging Treatment Technology!"
As a result, he successfully reached the funding goal of 1,000,000 yen, with the total support raised amounting to 1,200,155 yen, exceeding the target.
Hasegawa plans to use the funds to introduce the latest technology, a nanopore sequencer, which can rapidly acquire large amounts of data. This will allow him to establish a unique research system that integrates biological experiments with AI and data analysis, necessary for his research.

Hasegawa earned the right to launch a crowdfunding campaign after being selected for the " academist Prize for Deep Tech: Changing the World with Basic Research ," a research funding program hosted by academist Inc. for researchers aspiring to become entrepreneurs.
