The 2024 Department of Pharmacy Graduation Research Presentation Session, for sixth-year students to present the results of their graduation research, was held on Saturday, November 9, in the Multipurpose Hall of Building 1 at the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus.
The session was conducted in a poster presentation format, with posters showcasing the research results—the culmination of the sixth-year students' hard work—displayed throughout the venue. Students stood in front of their posters, explained their research to two designated faculty members for feedback, engaged in a Q&A session, and received feedback. They also explained their research to other faculty members and held discussions about their work.
Since being assigned to a laboratory in the fall semester of their fourth year, the sixth-year students of the Department of Pharmacy have dedicated much of their time, outside of practical training at hospitals and pharmacies, to their graduation research in the lab. Although graduation research aims for new discoveries, results often do not go as planned. By addressing new challenges that arise from unexpected outcomes, students hone their problem-solving skills. As this event was an opportunity to present the fruits of their long hours and considerable effort, every student, though visibly nervous, delivered their presentation with great enthusiasm.
