The 3rd Faculty of Pharmacy Inter-Laboratory Table Tennis Tournament Held

On Friday, September 27, the 3rd Faculty of Pharmacy Inter-Laboratory Table Tennis Tournament was held at the gymnasium on the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus.

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, all students belong to a laboratory to conduct their graduation research. This tournament was planned by the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club to foster camaraderie within and across laboratories through table tennis, with undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty members from each laboratory participating. This year, a team of staff members from the Faculty of Pharmacy also joined.

On the day of the event, a total of 15 teams competed in intense singles and doubles matches.

The final match was a close contest between last year's champion, the Laboratory of Metabolic Physiology and Chemistry, and the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Pharmacology, drawing enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.

After a hard-fought battle, the Laboratory of Metabolic Physiology and Chemistry successfully claimed victory for the second consecutive year.

At the awards ceremony, Professor Tadanori Osawa, chairman of the Faculty of Pharmacy Table Tennis Club, presented the championship trophy. The runner-up was the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Pharmacology, and third place went to the Laboratory of Molecular Synthetic Chemistry, repeating their performance from last year.
